Dec. 29--FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Zach MacDowall already knows that he won't play in the Orange Bowl. He's a freshman, and the coaching staff long ago made the decision to redshirt him this season. But MacDowall finds himself in an important role nonetheless as Wake Forest continues preparations for Tuesday night's showdown against fifth-ranked Louisville. MacDowall is the scout-team quarterback who goes up against the first-team defense during practice. His job these days is to give the defense the best Brian Brohm imitation he can.
