The claim. Avon Instant Manicure Dry Nail Enamel Strips, made of nail enamel plus a base and top coat, are stuck atop fingernails, real or acrylic. There's no drying, and you take them off with polish remover. "Peel. Press. Perfect," the Avon catalog says. "Color that lasts up to 14 days." A set of 16 strips (presumably in case of goofs) costs nearly as much as a professional manicure, $8, if ordered from a local Avon rep. If not, add about $6 for standard shipping.
