Sweet shop closes doors at mall.

Dec. 28--The owner of Montgomery Mall has been mum about prospects for the center's sale but promised an update in January.
Ohio-based Glimcher Realty Trust put the mall and four others up for sale in May.
"Next month, we plan to provide an update on the status of the sales process for all of our held-for-sale mall properties," Michael Glimcher, president and CEO of Ohio-based Glimcher Realty Trust, said in a statement.
Faced with tough competition from new retail developments on Montgomery's east side and in Prattville, the mall has lost a number of large stores this year, stores that produced a lot of foot traffic. …
