On September 27, 2006, a six-alarm fire destroyed approximately 60 percent of the Sacramento, California, headquarters of PianoDisc, one of the world's leading makers of state-of-the-art piano playing systems and owners of Mason & Hamlin. Approximately 100 grand pianos, most owned by other manufacturers and dealers, were destroyed in the blaze. No one was injured.
