November 17-19. Alexandria, VA. HISTORIC ALEXANDRIA ANTIQUES SHOW. Benefiting Historic Alexandria Foundation, the show will feature 17th to 19th C. American and European furniture; tall clocks; fine art; ceramics; jewelry and silver; early glass and brassware; folk art; garden furniture, and much more. A Gala Preview Party will be held on Thursday, November 16, 6:30-9:30 p.m. The theme of this year's show is Blossoming of the Decorative Arts. Special events will include a lecture entitled "Everlastings: A Garden Tour Through the Decorative Arts" on Friday, November 17, 2:00 p.m.; and a lecture and demonstration on "New Trends and Directions in French Floral Design" on Saturday, November 18, 2:00 p.m. On Saturday, 5:00-7:00 p.m., the Young Collectors Evening features a professionally guided tour of the show followed by a reception in a private Alexandria home.
