Betty Horton is 75 years old, so the man who stole her purse probably thought he had picked an easy victim. On August 30, Horton was putting her groceries in her car when she noticed her purse was missing. She then noticed a man running away with her bag under his arm.

Amazingly, the septuagenarian gave chase through a business district before catching up with the thief in a residential area.

"Good thing I had my running shoes on," Horton said in an AP report.
