Is Your Business Prepared For Pandemic Influenza?

Although this has not been an unusual flu season, the world is making preparations for the possibility of an influenza pandemic, which has not been seen since 1969.

Influenza pandemics of the 20th century have caused high levels of illness, death, social disruption and economic loss. It is estimated that, should another occur, between 15 and 30 percent of the U.S. population could be affected, with an economic impact ranging between $71.3 and $166.5 billion. Is your business prepared?

In the event of pandemic influenza, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have outlined a detailed strategy to assist businesses in the planning and dissemination of emergency policies and procedures.
