Project shippers must maneuver geopolitical hot spots

Project cargo and breakbulk shippers moving goods to destinations in Third World countries face a host of risks that are far greater than those facing shippers of containerized goods.

The panel on geopolitical hotspots on Oct. 31 at The Journal of Commerce's 17th Annual Breakbulk Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans regaled attendees with vivid examples of these risks, including piracy, royal coups d'etat and terrorism.
