Taxing government to pay for government: Florida's nonsensical approach to taxation.(CONSTRUCTION CORNER)
A difficult taxation issue has plagued Florida's material suppliers, contractors and subcontractors for several decades. Florida's NACM Improved Construction Practices Committee (ICPC) began looking for solutions many years ago, and together with the Florida Department of Revenue, crafted a proposed solution. This article will explore the complexities of this issue and the political climate and budgetary constraints that have, up until present, blocked passage of a legislative solution for this much-needed relief.
