AR: MAERSK'S PRESENCE AND impact have been felt in the country since 1988 when Maersk Nigeria Ltd was incorporated as a fully owned Maersk agency. Can you share with us what the company's experience of doing business in Nigeria has been?

TK: Maersk Nigeria Ltd was established as an agent for Maersk Line in 1988. Prior to this Maersk Line was represented by John Holt. Maersk Nigeria Ltd has evolved from being a pure agency function for Maersk Line into being a representative for several of the A.P. Moller-Maersk brands and activities: Maersk Line and Safmarine Container Lines in global container transport; Maersk Logistics in import and export logistics as value-added services to the container transport brands; APM Terminals in ports terminals management; Maersk Supply Services and Svitzer-Wijsmuller in offshore bunkering services.
