A Mighty Hull-born business is celebrating its 50th anniversary and looking at opening a new store in the city.

High And Mighty, which sells clothes and shoes for tall and big men, was founded in Hull in 1956 by tailor Bernard Levy.

He spotted a gap in the market for off-the-shelf clothing for larger men and opened a mail order business in the city.

Today, High And Mighty has 35 stores around the world, but none in Hull.

Mr Levy's daughter, Judith Levy, who is now the company's chief executive, said: "We are looking at Hull as a retail destination." Customers catered for by High And Mighty start at 6ft 2in …
