Men but not women who partied hard in high school saw an unexpected payoff later in life: a higher salary. A study of 8,500 men and women by the National Bureau of Economic Research found that men who engaged in binge drinking as 10th graders had a slightly more challenging time finding jobs later as adults, but earned about 6% more.
