Ithaca College NY hosted a panel to discuss gender and sexual orientation discrimination in sports recently. The event focused on the case of a former Penn State basketball player Jennifer Harris, who is suing the school and her former coach, Rene Portland. The coach threw Harris off the team after accusing her star player of being a lesbian. Portland's discipline was a $10,000 fine, sensitivity training and a letter of reproach.
