Sexual assault is a grim reality on college campuses, affecting an estimated one in four women students.
While this is a familiar statistic to some of us, new students often find it shocking to the point of disbelief. Unfazed by scare tactics such as the cold hard numbers, they seem to think it won't happen to them. At Worchester Polytechnic Institute MA, where women are only about 25% of students, we decided to take a new approach and tackle the issue of sexual assault from the peer perspective.
