Federal contracts can be a lucrative source of business for some enterprises. In fact, government contracts may be a good opportunity to increase the demand for a company's goods or services that may not exist in the private market. In some ways, contracting with the federal government is an easy proposition for credit departments. Time-consuming credit checks are not necessary when the deep-pocketed federal government is involved.
