Business credit fraud has been written about more and more, as new and more sophisticated technology assists this type of criminal behavior. NACM's Asset Protection Group (APG) is dedicated to fighting business credit fraud and is committed to providing APG membership with the most current information available so members can make an intelligent business decision as quickly as possible.

Why would you want your company to join the Asset Protection Group? Simple. Consider that if you've experienced just one loss in the last five years, the cost of membership would be covered many times over.

So what do you get for this membership? For one thing, access to information available nowhere else. NACM's Asset Protection Group has the most in-depth information available. More than what you'd get on a business or individual credit report. More than what you'd find in a criminal background check. Because APG pulls information from so many sources, and works hand-in-hand with a variety of investigation and law enforcement groups, its research provides more information than you could obtain anywhere else. And beyond that, APG staff can train you and your employees to become more proficient at scrutinizing credit requests and merchandise orders.

Consider what you get with a one-year membership ...

Business Locator--United States: The information in this database is compiled from hundreds of public record databases as well as marketing lists, websites, and numerous privately owned sources. Coverage is provided for the entire United States including the District of Columbia. With over 200 million records, this service includes records that typically contain business names, addresses, telephone numbers, contact persons, type of business, date-added-to file and a date last validated for more than 95 percent of the businesses in the United States. Unlike many other online business databases, this database contains at least 25 million current business records, updated quarterly, along with millions of historical records, allowing APG to identify prior business activities linked to a person, address or telephone number.

Bankruptcies, Judgement and Liens: This index is a trio of individual databases providing nationwide coverage of important court actions. Information from every bankruptcy court in the country is represented in this database. Judgments and tax liens are available for most states. The liens represented are those of federal, state and county origin.

Ficticious Business Names: This service contains over 10 million records from government flung offices such as Secretaries of State; Fictitious, DBA, AKA and Assumed Name Filings; Boards of Equalization and various licensing offices; as well as Yellow Page listings and newspapers. This is updated monthly, includes records dating back to 1989, and is comprehensive from 1994.
