There is just something special about the combination of tenor saxophone and Hammond organ, something that has made the "organ combo" one of the most venerated configurations in the history of jazz. Traditionally, that configuration does not include a bass player, as all basslines are played by the organist using pedals. For his first album as a leader in almost fifteen years, saxophonist Buck Hill chose to record in that format, recruiting organist John Ozment, guitarist Paul Pieper, and drummer Jerry Jones for the sessions.
