Contrary to the Civic Platform's (PO) wishes, the Self-Defence (Samoobrona) sex scandal did not revolutionise Polish politics. On Friday, the Deputy PM Ludwik Dorn announced Law and Justice (PiS) had turned down the PO offer of early elections. The situation could have changed, however, as the whole of Poland was to learn if Stanislaw Lyzwinski, Samoobrona MP, is the father of Aneta Krawczyk's youngest daughter.
