Dec. 5--The regional director of the U.S. Department of Public Housing and Urban Development refused to pay the former general counsel of the Montgomery Housing Authority $25,000 for work he did at the authority's request, according to a federal lawsuit.
Terry Davis said he was never paid for an investigation in which he looked into allegations of misconduct against Montgomery's former housing authority director, Michael McInnish. The lawsuit, which claims breach of contract and racial discrimination, seeks $25,000 in compensatory damages and $500,000 punitive damages.
