With just 11 weeks to go, more than half of registered dispensing opticians have yet to earn enough CET points to meet the General Optical Council's requirements.Figures published this week by the GOC revealed that just 45 per cent of DOs compared to 69 per cent of optometrists and 57 per cent of contact lens opticians have so far earned - and confirmed - the required 36 CET points ahead of December 31 2006.
