Hearings set on 3 projects in Clemmons.

Nov. 30--CLEMMONS -- A final decision on three development projects proposed for Clemmons could come in less than two weeks.

The village council voted Monday to hold public hearings on the projects at its Dec. 11 meeting. The council could vote on the projects that night.

Public debate on the projects could be long and contentious. A village planning-board meeting on the projects earlier this month lasted almost five hours.

The projects are:

--A 99,000-square-foot shopping center anchored by a grocery store, proposed for the corner of Peace Haven and Lewisville-Clemmons roads on property partially owned by the …
