The United States and Colombia last month signed a trade promotion agreement that will eliminate tariffs and other barriers to trade in goods and services. The agreement removes duties on more than 80 percent of U.S. exports of consumer and industrial products to Colombia. U.S. farm exports, such as beef, cotton, wheat, soybeans and produce, will also receive duty-free treatment.
