TAIPEI, Dec 1 Asia Pulse - President Chen Shui-bian urged domestic and international companies in the industrial and manufacturing sectors Thursday to have faith in Taiwan and increase their investment in the country.

Chen made the remarks during his visit to the Science-based Industrial Park in Central Taiwan which is now under construction with some local and foreign companies having already moved in and become partially operational.

He met with executives of all the companies that operate in the park over a luncheon for an hour-long chat before visiting Corning Display Technologies Taiwan Co. for a close-door meeting.
