When you've been embroiled in the battle for life for as many years as many of you have, some might think the attitudes of at least a few would border on cynicism, resignation, or at least a kind of low-grade world-weariness. After all, it's been nearly 31 years since an out-of-control Supreme Court careened wildly off course.
