OP pediatrician goes on Rosie to get a lock on kids gun safety.(Michael Blum)(Brief Article)
Overland Park pediatrician Michael Blum and the city's gun-lock program are basking in the national spotlight.
Blum, a doctor who gives out gun locks to households with children (and guns), will be featured Dec. 27 on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." Blum was invited to participate when O'Donnell learned of the program aimed at putting gun locks in homes.
"She's very concerned about guns and gun safety," Blum said. "As a result, she wanted to bring on somebody who is doing something different."
Blum, who was in New York Dec. 18 for taping, said that O'Donnell was cordial and that the interview went well. They even chatted for a bit after the show. …
