The Dubai World Cup and ts.com, the leading online ticketing service, have teamed up, to enable tickets for the 2001 race to be sold online via the World Cup`s official website (www.dubaiworldcup.com). This will be the first time that tickets for the world`s richest race meeting will be sold online.

Tickets are being offered for the International Village and select Hospitality options in the Al Dana Marquee and Nad Al Sheba Club.

The 2001 Dubai World Cup meeting will be the richest race meeting ever run with the highlight of the programme being the US$6,000,000 Group I Dubai World Cup, sponsored by Emirates, and the first event of the 2001 Emirates World Series Racing Championship.

With a programme such as this and with the expectation of a massive influx of international visitors combined with the large number of UAE residents and others from around the Middle East, the demand for admission will be extremely high.

Preparations for the 2001 Dubai World Cup are already well advanced and Nancy Petch, a member of the Dubai World Cup Committee and Dubai Co-ordinator for the event, commented, "Offering badges over the Internet extends our sales channels to the international market alleviating the hurdler presented by time zones, and the unique features of the ts.com product ensures we get maximum reach through the Internet, whilst maintaining control over our own badge sales."
