Riding unbelievable growth to a ranking as the nation's second-fastest-growing tech company, Euronet is roaring down the mountain and aiming to knock the Internet on its backside.
Based in Leawood, Euronet Worldwide (Nasdaq: EEFT) posted five-year revenue growth of 66,790 percent -- its revenues skyrocketing from $62,000 in 1995 to $41,472,000 in 1999; according to rankings from the sixth annual Technology Fast 500, announced this week by Deloitte & Touche.
This ranks Euronet and its 450 employees second in North America and puts the operator of Europe's largest independent automated teller machine network 135 places ahead of the next Kansas City-based finisher, Peripheral Vision InfoSystems Inc. of Overland Park.
