RDATE:27112000
LONDON -- Palm, Inc. today announced that it will host its third European Forum for the Palm Economy: PalmSource Forum Europe 2001, from January 31st to February 2nd, 2001 at RAI Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Expected to be the biggest European Forum to date, the three-day event is expected to gather the vibrant, growing community of Palm licensees, developers and solution providers.
PalmSource Forum Europe 2001 is the key European event for the Palm OS handheld computing industry: while the conference illustrates Palm's strong commitment to its fast growing European community of approximately 30 000 developers, it also creates an ideal environment for Palm and other members of the Palm Economy to reach out to new solutions providers, address new market segments and emphasise wireless technologies.
Delegates will gain insight into the rapidly evolving Palm OS platform and receive industry perspectives from a series of platform technology presentations and Palm licensee product showcases. PalmSource Forum Europe 2001 attendees will also be able to network with licensees, enterprise solution providers, MIS and IT executives, VARs, ISVs, system integrators, and marketers, as well as key members of the Palm marketing, engineering, and executive teams.
"Palm has seen tremendous growth in its developer community this year and PalmSource Forum Europe 2001 will be an opportunity for us to provide steadfast tools and support and showcase solutions for the entire Palm Economy", said Gabriel Acosta-Lopez, Senior Director, Global Platform Alliances and Partners Services. "With our presence in so many market segments expanding, PalmSource Forum Europe 2001 is an opportunity for new and current members of the Palm Economy to participate in a dynamic community and to capitalise on emerging opportunities as the industry grows, Gabriel Acosta-Lopez continued.
