The tastiest part of the Tri-State residential pie got a little more expensive this past year.

According to statistics compiled by Ken Schuermann Sr., a Realtor based at the Hyde Park office of Coldwell Banker West Shell, the 47 home sales that took place during the period of January to September had carried an average price tag of $987,111.

Not only is the average home in the village approaching $1 million, but the price has also increased 25.9 percent for the same period last year. Schuermann closely tracks sales activity in the East Side's upscale market of the village, Hyde Park, Mount Lookout, Anderson Township, Oakley, Madeira, Mariemont and Terrace …
