Office space goes for $115 a square foot

Office rents in San Francisco recently rocketed to a record - $115 per square foot per year.

Greater Sacramento last week hit a record $52 a square foot sales price for an industrial building.

In the Silicon Valley, a lease this year was inked for nearly $250 a' square foot.

In San Francisco, in Greater Sacramento and in the Silicon Valley commercial real estate has gone from red hot to white hot.

And, not surprisingly, high technology is providing the spark.

In the mother lode of high-tech, Sand Hill Road in the Silicon Valley, the rental rate. is white hot. One high-tech gizmo company recently plunked down nearly $250 a square foot for office digs.
