Joseph Fink has a big mouth, and he's proud of it.

"The mouth can be heard anywhere in the room," he said at a recent candidate forum, where he shunned the microphone.

"I just like to use God's gift to me," he said.

Fink's voice is easy to hear, but sometimes what he says isn't accurate, and sometimes he can be critical.

At a candidates forum sponsored by the Democratic Club, the North Port commissioner emphasized his college education. Challenger Walt McLellan did not graduate from college.

"I have the education to be your city commissioner," he said. "It's important to deal with people well. I will continue the course with sound, educated leadership. If you want …
