For the fourth time in 16 months, Charlotte County's only charter school has a new director.
Marylou Ferraro, who has taught math, art and performance learning at The Alpha Center, accepted the position Friday, two days after the former director stepped down.
Ralph Moore, who resigned Wednesday, said the job required more time and effort than he wanted to expend. Moore said he spent the better part of the past four months "fixing things" that had not been done correctly or had not been completed during the school's first year.
"Grades needed to be double-checked," he said. "Student transcripts needed to be prepared and reviewed."
