WASHINGTON -- Oct-4 -- (CongressDaily) Former GOP Sen. Mack Mattingly has enlisted an 81-year-old south Georgia grandmother-- and the 8-year-old campaign jingle that made her famous--in his race against Democratic Sen. Zell Miller, the Atlanta Journal- Constitution reported.

Mattingly's first campaign ads in metro Atlanta Monday began featuring Margie Lopp, who penned and sang a memorable ditty that helped propel the late GOP Sen. Paul Coverdell to victory in 1992.
