TAIPEI, Nov 29 Asia Pulse - Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) chairman Chang Chien-sheng said Tuesday his company has accepted a foreign group's buyout offer but "definitely not because we want to increase investment in China."
ASE made the decision mainly to keep abreast of a world trend in which semiconductor businesses are integrating to increase the industry's economic scale, Chang said after meeting with Minister of Economic Affairs Chen Ruey-long.
