Nov. 29--Two months after a midair collision over the Amazon basin killed 154 people, international aviation experts are questioning the fairness of the Brazilian investigation. Specifically, observers are concerned about the differences in a preliminary investigation report issued by the Brazilian government two weeks ago and one released by the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board last week. They say the Brazilian report focuses too much on the Embraer Legacy jet owned by ExcelAire of Ronkonkoma and flown by Joseph Lepore of Bay Shore and Jan Paladino of Westhampton Beach, and not enough on the air traffic system...
