Nov. 29--The union for American Airlines' pilots is pushing for the release of two pilots who have been detained in Brazil since a midair collision that resulted in the crash of a Gol Airlines passenger jet.
The pilots, one of whom is a furloughed American Airlines pilot, were flying an Embraer Legacy 600 business jet on Sept. 29 over Brazil when it apparently collided with a Boeing 737 flown by Gol, a Brazilian airline.
