July's Annual Photo Guide didn't mention that the sensors of digital SLRs tend to collect dust specks, which eventually become visible on the images. The more frequently you change lenses, the more dust you get. There are Web sites that take you through a manual cleaning process, but it's not for the fainthearted and might invalidate your warranty. This is a problem with all digital cameras but is more common on the SLRs, since the sensor is exposed to outside air every time the lens is changed.
