Seventy-five percent of respondents in a recent poll supported the government's plan to phase out foreign traders in markets and small retail outlets, Interfax reported Thursday.
The poll, conducted in late November by the state-owned VTsIOM agency in 46 regions across the country, showed that only 18 percent of Russians opposed the government's plan.
Just 26 percent of those polled said the price of goods would rise as a result of the ban, which is scheduled to kick in on April 1 of next year. ...
