TRINIDAD's major bunker supplier Petrotrin is considering implementing a code of practice for bunkering operations similar to the CP60 programme in place at Singapore, writes Neville Smith in Puerto Rico.
Marketing representative Anne Ghent said that Petrotrin was encountering increased problems monitoring sample-taking.
'The regulation is that the sample is taken at the ship's rail but many suppliers find they can't get onboard and the engineer doesn't want to come on to the bunker barge,' she said.
