Tankers
CLEAN tanker rates in the transatlantic market rose sharply on midweek due to an increase in demand to ship heating oil to the United States, brokers said.
The rates for 37,000-tonne capacity tankers for the transatlantic voyages were pegged at W242.5, compared with W202.5 in the previous week. 'There are more heating oil cargoes in the market than before as winter is fast approaching,' a broker said.
