Acergy pipe contract
ACERGY has won a $60m contract from ConocoPhillips to lay a 9.4km, 24-inch oil pipeline from the Eldfisk platform to the Ekofisk production complex in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.
Pipelay vessel Acergy Piper will begin work on the pipe installation next month.
Subsea construction vessel Acergy Osprey will help to tie in the lines to riser platforms at both fields in the third quarter next year.
PETROVIETNAM and Korea National Oil Corporation have started production from the Rong Doi and Rong Doi Tay gas fields in the Nam Con Son basin after investing $300m.
The Twin Dragon fields are expected to produce 130m cu ft of gas a day.
