NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ --
Sugar Hill Records is set to release distinctive guitar virtuoso Sonny Landreth's first major album in five years. "Levee Town" will be in stores on October 17.
The Louisiana based guitarist, songwriter and singer is an artist at the peak of his considerable powers and the new album illustrates a more sharply focused vocal attack, coupled with his singular guitar style.
Landreth considers "Levee Town" part of a three-album trilogy that began with 1992's critically lauded "Outward Bound" and "South of I-10," released in 1995.
"Along with the last two albums I wanted to dig deeper into the built-in mythology and mystery of the Deep South," says Landreth. "It's really inspirational to live here and the deeper I go, the more inspired I get."
