HTE, Inc. (Nasdaq:HTEI), a leading provider of enterprise-wide software solutions for public sector organizations and utilities worldwide, announced today it has been awarded a contract worth more than $1 million to provide its comprehensive CRIMES(R) Records Management System and Field Incident/Field Accident Reporting software to the Modesto, CA Police Department.

The system will enable the police department to centralize multiple databases, improve productivity within the department by eliminating redundant data entry, and provide immediate accessibility to information throughout the entire department.

"We spent approximately 18 months evaluating public safety systems with the goal of improving efficiency and eliminating duplicate efforts throughout our entire department," said Captain Ron Sale, Modesto Police Department. "During our evaluations, we looked for vendors that could address our unique need to acquire a comprehensive records management program that would provide field reporting capabilities to both our field officers and meet our internal needs.
