It's time for common sense in our health care system.

Call it universal health care, continuity of care, or may be common sense.

Our health care system, as it is today, is fraught with waste and duplication that results from overextended bureaucracies and lack of coordination. The results are runaway insurance premiums, inadequate insurance for many of our seniors and many of our poor, and unnecessary costs.

While we have struggled with-managed care systems and other methods meant to provide better coordination, little seems to have worked, particularly in emergency situations. And some of the waste could be avoided with some prudent government prodding, maybe even regulation.
