Ad agency inks $10M yearly deal

The Glass/McClure Inc. ad agency of Sacramento has won a $10 million annual advertising contract with the Sizzler International restaurant chain of Los Angeles.

The pact is one of the largest national ad accounts won by a local agency. It could also help boost Greater Sacramento as a place with enough ad talent to handle major accounts.

"This is a career win, the biggest I've ever had," says agency president Greg Glass. "We just worked it."

The Business Journal ranked 9-year-old Glass/McClure as the fourth-largest ad agency in the market last year, based on total billings. The Sizzler deal boosts its billings to $27 million, which would have earned second place in 1999.
