Allied Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AHI) announced today that it is realigning to establish a corporate structure that streamlines its organization and provides greater capabilities to meet customer expectations and increase shareholder value. These changes are effective immediately.
Allied Holdings, Inc. will eliminate three service companies -- Allied Industries, Haul Risk Management, and Link Information Systems -- and align those resources into the two remaining operating companies; Allied Automotive Group and Axis Group. Allied Automotive Group is the largest automotive transporter and distributor in North America. Axis Group provides logistics solutions, on a global basis, across the entire automotive supply chain.
