LAST SEASON, IT SEEMED EVERY reality show--from Amazing Race to America's Top Model--had a lesbian in its cast, but this season, dykes are scant on television. Sure, Marin Hinkle plays Jon Cryer's lesbian ex-wife on CBS's Two and a Half Men, Portia de Rossi's (straight) on Fox's Arrested Development, and Pamela Anderson's cartoon porn Stripperella offers a modicum of Sapphic innuendo. But the most entertaining queer TV moments are now on DVD--what better bet for the gift-giving season?
If you've got a TV-lovin' girlfriend, DVD box sets are the bomb. There's Babylon Five, Deep Space Nine, Frasier, Cheers, Soul Food, Will and Grace, The Osbournes, and plenty of shows with Trek in the title.
