DYLAN RATIGAN, CNBC ANCHOR: All right, investors have had three days now to absorb the numbers coming off Black Friday, the official kickoff to the retail holiday shopping season. So who were the big winners and losers? Retail expert Jennifer Black, the president of Jennifer Black & Associates; Robert Buchanan, retail analyst at A.G. Edwards, join us now to tell us.
My understanding, Jennifer, is that Black Friday is more meaningful for the patterns and trends it sets than for the absolute numbers and dollars that get done. What is the most meaningful pattern you can discern up to this point?
JENNIFER BLACK, PRESIDENT, JENNIFER BLACK & ASSOCIATES: Well, I think that the consumer is shopping, clearly. And I think, in specialty sector, there are clearly some winners and some losers.
RATIGAN: For instance?
BLACK: I think that for the holiday season Nordstrom, J. Crew, Coach, American Eagle Outfitters, and The Limited are all going to be holiday winners.
