CHINA'S COAL INDUSTRY TO PEAK PERIODICALLY IN 2007: REPORT
BEIJING - The latest report compiled by the State Information Center predicts that China's coal industry may peak periodically in 2007, as the pressure of surplus supply will increase.
But in the next few months, coal market will operate steadily as fuel coal consumption will enter peak season, Statistics show that the output value of coal industry fulfilled in the first three quarters of this year was 495.73 billion yuan (US$63.11 billion), up 24.39 per cent year on year; sales revenue realized, 495.87 billion yuan, up 24.54 per cent, losing nearly 21 percentage points as compared with in the same period of 2005.
CHINA'S DATANG POWER TO ISSUE SHARES IN MAINLAND IPO
BEIJING - Leading Chinese power generator Datang International Power Generation Company (SEHK:0991) has released the prospectus for its initial public offering of up to 500 million shares on the Chinese Mainland's A-share market.
The prospectus disclosed that Datang Power will distribute 150 million shares and 46 million shares to China Datang Corporation and Tianjin Jinneng Investment Company respectively as strategic placement while the remainder will be issued through online and offline subscription.
CHINA'S ELECTRICITY GENERATING CAPACITY HITS 580 KW
BEIJING - China's total installed capacity of electric power generation reached 580 million kilowatts by the end of October this year, rising 18.4 per cent over the same period of last year, according to Liu Zhenya, general manager of the State Power Grid Corp, on November 28.
