KUALA LUMPUR - CIMB Investment Bank Berhad (CIMB) Monday announced a proposal for the merger of Sime Darby Berhad (KLSE:4197), Golden Hope Plantations Berhad (KLSE:1953) and Kumpulan Guthrie Berhad (KLSE:3131) to create the world's largest listed oil palm plantation player with a total market capitalisation of some RM31 billion (US$8.5 billion).
